Rivers of EDEN is a Civil Society Development Organization promoted by young development activists to facilitate development activities for the oppressed and exploited sections of the society particularly dalits, tribes, migrants and other backward communities.
Rivers of EDEN Trust was founded and run by Mrs. Victoria Issac Dhamodaran in Jangalapalli Village, Agravaram P.O, Gudiyatham T.K, Vellore Dist. This is a registered charitable trust with the objective of enhancing the lives of people in India by providing the poor and needy good education, rural upliftment, taking care of welfare of women and children, to develop orphans, handicapped and old age persons, to provide medical facility.
Mr. P. Issac Dhamodaran, born in an agricultural family had a vision behind founding the Rivers of EDEN Trust in Jangalapalli Village, Agravaram P.O, Gudiyatham Taluk in Vellore District. He spent his early life in Jangalapalli. As a young man, he was visiting his parents who were farmers near Jangalapalli village. As a young man during those visits he was challenged by the needy, poor people who were in bondage. He saw them helpless, suffering from poverty, sickness and were highly lacking basic privileges and rights to be better human beings. They clearly needed attention and this impacted the mind of Mr. Issac Dhamodaran who wanted to do something for them that would have a lasting effect in their lives.
The vision was passed on to Mrs. Victoria Issac Dhamodaran. As a result, during the year 2002 Rivers of EDEN Trust was started by Mrs. Victoria Issac Dhamodaran to serve the people. Since then no turning back and by God’s grace it has been progressing in the right direction, doing its best for the betterment of people who are more than 2 lakh in population in and around the village.
We have well defined plans to serve the community in health and development programmes operating out of our village. Also we are involved in education and social economic development. Our mission is accomplished by seeing the relief of suffering people and promotion of health.
